New Deal Towns Green Towns, Homesteads, and Resettlement Villages There were three different communities that were designed from the ground up that are now called the Green towns. The first was Greenbelt, MD, then Greenhills OH, and then Greendale WI. Greenbelt Maryland Greenhills Ohio Greendale Wisconsin Over 100 other communities were also created.
